Consultation cost — frequently asked questions

What exactly does the $1,500 MXN consultation include?
A complete pulmonology evaluation: detailed clinical history, physical examination, pulse oximetry, review of any studies you bring, and a treatment plan in writing so you leave knowing exactly what to do next. A CFDI invoice is issued if you need one.
Does spirometry cost extra?
Spirometry with bronchodilator — the complete test with a digital report, taking about 45 minutes — costs $1,200 MXN on its own or an additional $600 MXN when performed together with your consultation. A shorter 25-minute protocol is available when clinically appropriate.
How much does the sleep study cost?
The home sleep test (type III respiratory polygraphy) costs $4,500 MXN as an in-office package that includes the consultation, or $5,000 MXN if we bring the equipment to your home — in that option the study is billed on its own and the consultation separately.
Do you issue invoices or receipts for insurance?
Yes. An itemized CFDI invoice is issued on request, and most travel and international health insurers accept it for reimbursement. Payment is at the time of service.
Why do pulmonologist prices vary so much between offices?
Prices in Mexico City vary with the doctor's training, the time dedicated per patient and what the fee actually covers. Here the price is published upfront: $1,500 MXN buys unhurried specialist time, oximetry and a written plan — with no surprise add-ons at the front desk.
